Egypt Tourist Information.

Welcome to Egypt
Egypt, located in the northeast of Africa, is one of the world's top tourist destinations. The heritage of the ancient Egyptian civilization is visible throughout the country. Egypt is mostly a desert, an extension of the Sahara Desert.
When to Go/Climate:
the climate is very dry and hot. July and August are the hottest months, traveling in these months is not recommended. The best time to travel to Egypt is in winter, from November through February. Spring and fall are ok, too. During the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, the Ramadan, some restaurants may be closed during the day, and transports may be less frequent.

Egypt Tours - Have You Thought About a Trip

Egypt tours are a great chance to experience everything Egypt has to offer. You can assemble your own tour, or use a prepackaged tour that makes everything easy.
Egypt tours that have been prearranged for you will allow you to experience all of Ancient Egypt’s monuments and temples, as well as today’s cities and recreational activities. However, you won’t have to worry about organizing the whole tour yourself. Discounts are available on tours, too - you might even be able to visit some locations free of charge.
Why Choose Packaged Egypt Tours?
- Planning a trip on your own can be fairly expensive. A package tour may be less expensive than ordinary plane tickets, and will probably include your airfare.
- Tours also save time. There’s no need to waste time trying to figure out the best places to visit - they’ve all been selected for you.
- Traveling as part of a group allows you to feel safe. You’ll be surrounded by people just like you, and are less likely to feel isolated.
- Having a guide can really help. Most guides speak a variety of languages, and will help you find anything you need. They can also help you learn a lot more about the country.
- Organized trips make shopping and sightseeing simple. You’ll be able to find everything, because the tour guide will take you to every location - there’s no danger of getting lost.

High tourist season in Egypt runs from mid October to May

High tourist season in Egypt runs from mid October to May, and thisis the best time to visit. How can
view, the tourist season is in winter and spring, but this is too high season, and prices go up at this time of years. Some hotels may actually be expensive, and for that, I would prevention advice for all bookings accommodation before you come, and the budget hotels.

CAIRO
From May to Octobertemperatures are quite high, especially Luxor and the southern part of country, but the summer offers a time to see Egypt in relative peace and quiet. This is huge advantage of being able to see the tourist sites without problems by school childrenor from the crowds of tourists. Imaginepiece and quiet to take photographs without obscuring the view of strangers.

A REVOLUTION THAT INSPIRED A NATION TO CAMARADERIE

Egyptians have long been known for two things: their great history, and their sense of humor. Now, one more thing can be added to that list – their spirit of camaraderie. Egyptians have been unhappy for many years with their government, often feeling that corruption was rampant and that the standard of living was unbearable for the majority, with far too few jobs for the growing workforce.

After being patient with the promise of better wages and more jobs, the Egyptian people had finally had enough! Selecting January 25th, a day which had always been spent celebrating the Egyptian Police force, the Egyptian people staged a peaceful protest in front of Alexandria's Al Qaed Ibrahim Mosque, in the port city of Suez, and in Cairo's Tahrir Square, which became so lovingly referred to by the foreign press as Liberation Square. Hundreds of thousands of protesters gathered in these three locations, as well as some smaller groups gathering at various locations nation-wide.

Timeline of Egypt

Dating Egyptian History

The dates in this resource reflect the latest scholarship and are used with the permission of the late Dr. William J. Murnane. For the third millennium, dates are deliberately rounded in order to avoid a misleading appearance of precision. All dates before 664 B.C.E. should be treated as approximate. Dates following 664 B.C.E. can be taken from any standard history published in the last thirty years. For the second millennium, the dates follow closely the chronologies of Rolf Krauss and Detlef Franke.
Also, the dates use B.C.E. (before Common Era) and C.E. (Common Era). These replace B.C. (before Christ) and A.D. (anno Domini), respectively.
